Though I may be overjoyed that they are gone, I must admit that I saw all of them yesterday. While I was waiting for Joe to get home from school, I was outside watching the circus. They had Harley's out here (no the Queer Eye folks don't drive Harley's, I'll explain in a minute), their little mopeds that if you ever watch the show, I'm sure you've seen them driving these things around, and a lot of the behind the scene people running around trying to get things set up. Of course, as soon as Joe's bus pulls up, a member on the crew got right in front of me, so I couldn't get out to the bus. After telling him nicely to get the hecht out of my way, I had to get my kid off the bus, he moved. I think the main guy,. Carson Kressley was annoyed that the bus was ruining their plans to start filming, and you know what, that nice. You're taping in a development full of kids, deal with it. So I got Joe off the bus and walked up to the front door to call my mother and tell her that I have Queer Eye sightings, and one of the film crew tells me that I can't stand there because they are going to start filming. Which of course I told him that I wasn't moving, I lived here and I was going inside anyway (don't start with a NYer :) ) I watched them film the opening shot from my kitchen window. Two of the Queer Eye folk were driving those little toy mopeds and the other 3 were on the back of Harley's. But the story doesn't end there. After all the outside filming was done, I had to got to the store to get something for dinner. As Joe, myself and Mandy (in her stroller of course) were coming back from the store, I passed Carson Kressley on the sidewalk, I guess he was going back into this poor guy's apartment. Carson is freaky looking when you actually get up close and personal. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but he is.
And that's not all. While I didn't go over there myself, they were filming another movie a couple blocks away from me. It's calling
Freedomland. Samuel L. Jackson is in it. This is the week for filming in Queens.
