Clan WNxSacred

As some of you may know, I've joined a clan that plays Sacred online. I must admit that I've been amazed by the generosity and friendship that I've felt since joining. Most of my life I've seen people that were willing to help you but a lot of times there was a price attached to it. The people in the clan, have helped me many times over without asking for anything in return. And I must admit, it floors me. I understand that we are all there to help each other, but to actually see it happen, that's amazing. So to make a long story short, Clan WNx Sacred rocks. :)

Queer Eye sightings

Though I may be overjoyed that they are gone, I must admit that I saw all of them yesterday. While I was waiting for Joe to get home from school, I was outside watching the circus. They had Harley's out here (no the Queer Eye folks don't drive Harley's, I'll explain in a minute), their little mopeds that if you ever watch the show, I'm sure you've seen them driving these things around, and a lot of the behind the scene people running around trying to get things set up. Of course, as soon as Joe's bus pulls up, a member on the crew got right in front of me, so I couldn't get out to the bus. After telling him nicely to get the hecht out of my way, I had to get my kid off the bus, he moved. I think the main guy,. Carson Kressley was annoyed that the bus was ruining their plans to start filming, and you know what, that nice. You're taping in a development full of kids, deal with it. So I got Joe off the bus and walked up to the front door to call my mother and tell her that I have Queer Eye sightings, and one of the film crew tells me that I can't stand there because they are going to start filming. Which of course I told him that I wasn't moving, I lived here and I was going inside anyway (don't start with a NYer :) ) I watched them film the opening shot from my kitchen window. Two of the Queer Eye folk were driving those little toy mopeds and the other 3 were on the back of Harley's. But the story doesn't end there. After all the outside filming was done, I had to got to the store to get something for dinner. As Joe, myself and Mandy (in her stroller of course) were coming back from the store, I passed Carson Kressley on the sidewalk, I guess he was going back into this poor guy's apartment. Carson is freaky looking when you actually get up close and personal. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but he is.

And that's not all. While I didn't go over there myself, they were filming another movie a couple blocks away from me. It's calling Freedomland. Samuel L. Jackson is in it. This is the week for filming in Queens.

The joys of living in Queens

Anyone that has ever lived, visited, or just seen NYC and Queens knows that parking is hard to come by. Well on Saturday, Tony found a note on a lot of cars, including mine, that Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is going to be filming here and that we have to move our cars by 6am on Sunday. Well, not wanting a ticket, I got up at 5:15am (which usually isn't that bad, but I went to bed at 1am, yeah I know that wasn't smart), got dressed and moved my car. I had to park 3 blocks away. :( After taking my son to church and going to the store, I prayed that by some small miracle I'd find a closer spot. I was happy to find a spot on my block (Joe couldn't understand why I was so happy to find a spot that was still far away from the apt). All Sunday I was looking, seeing by any slight chance that I would spot someone. Well this morning when I took Joe out to wait for the bus, there was a new sign up stating that they would be here today from 7am to 8pm. Then why in the hecht did I have to move my car yesterday morning if they weren't coming until today? If I see any of them, I'll let ya'll know.
